ANTIGONISH, NS (September 6, 2024) – “The Original”™️ Mr. Donair, a beloved Nova Scotia brand renowned for its signature Donair products, is proud to announce a landmark three-year partnership with the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Through this collaboration, Mr. Donair will become the “Official Jerky of the Pittsburgh Penguins”. This marks a significant expansion for Mr. Donair into the U.S. market, leveraging the Penguins large fan base to drive brand awareness and growth.

The U.S. market represents a significant opportunity for Antigonish-based “The Original”™️ Mr. Donair, with the Pittsburgh Penguins providing an ideal gateway. The Penguins, who boast the third-largest fan base in the NHL with 1.9 million fans, offer a unique platform to introduce “The Original”™️ Mr. Donair’s products to a broader audience. The partnership will serve as the cornerstone for “The Original”™️ Mr. Donair's international growth, helping the brand establish itself in the competitive U.S. meat snack category.
